Foam Jacking Is Low Cost Concrete Leveling

A ‘Real World’ Example Of How Foam Leveling Is Much Less Expensive

Below is an example of savings on a fairly typical project. Of course, every project can be unique, and the amount of savings here won’t necessarily be accurate for every type of concrete area. But, it’s also important to say these savings are not unusual at all.

The Example: A Driveway Fix

One of our most common projects for Denver area homeowners is fixing a driveway.

Let’s say you decide to remove and replace your concrete driveway. A standard driveway is around 18' wide and about 22' long. To do a replacement, you can generally expect to pay in the range of $8 to $12 per square foot. That adds up to a total cost in the range of $3,100 to $4,800.

Now, what about a quote from us for foam leveling instead? Let’s say the problem is your driveway has sunk about 3” near the garage. (3” would be about what we normally see in terms of sinking). Your quote to bring it back to level is likely to come in around $1,300 to $1,400.

In this example, your cost would be around 1/3 to 1/4 of the cost to remove and replace! It’s pretty much a no-brainer. At the very least, there’s no risk to getting a quote from us to compare your options.

One other important note. Not only does foam concrete leveling cost significantly less than “removal and replacement,” it’s also A LOT more convenient. With replacement, it will take at least a week before you can use the project area. Removal will be dusty and noisy. On top of everything else, ‘remove and replace’ projects frequently result in damaged landscaping that will need fixed.

Also, in the case of a driveway, the new concrete will be a different color than your surrounding areas like a sidewalk and porch.

When you add up the costs in both money and lost convenience, removal and replacement begins to look a lot less attractive when compared to foam leveling.
