October is the time of year when spooks and scares make themselves known – goblins, ghosts, and ghouls pop up everywhere, and jack-o-lanterns and other monsters become popular decorations. While these things might frighten little ones, we know adults are scared by more practical things, like the high cost of home repair! Thankfully, should you determine that the concrete around your home needs leveling, you will not be shocked or startled by how much the repair will cost you. In fact, you may be pleasantly surprised at how easy and cost-effective the process actually is.

Repair – Don’t Replace

Depending on who you talk to, you may be convinced that replacing your concrete is necessary. However, our simple and easy concrete leveling process can repair your driveway, for less than half the cost of replacing, and much less hassle. When you decide to remove and replace your concrete, you’re looking at a much longer process, with labor costs needed to rip up the existing concrete and then more labor costs for pouring the new slab. With concrete leveling, the job will be much more streamlined and less-invasive. Additionally, less than an hour after the repair is completed, you can use your newly-repaired concrete, significantly reducing the impact on your time and your life.

Repairing your concrete instead of replacing it will also cost less in terms of removal. Concrete slabs cannot be destroyed. Therefore, they must be hauled away by those who are redoing your concrete. This will add time and money to the job, and could possibly greatly drive up the expense.

Polyurethane Foam vs. Mudjacking

Our concrete leveling process is, on average, less expensive than mudjacking as well. While both mudjacking and our foam leveling technique are significantly less expensive than removing and replacing your existing concrete, foam leveling will still be your most cost-effective choice. Mudjacking uses a slurry made from grout of sand and cement. This slurry is a more expensive material than the polyurethane foam we use for our foam leveling process. Mudjacking also has to drill holes that are much larger than the ones needed for foam leveling, increasing the cost of repair materials and the labor cost of fixing the drill holes. Finally, concrete repaired by mudjacking requires more time to set and cure, increasing your own personal time cost, by limiting your use of the concrete.
